Day 1

Welcome to Bordeaux!

Welcome to Bordeaux!

Meet at Bordeaux airport or railway station.

Comfortable transfer to your hotel in the heart of the
city and check-in.

Free time to explore the city for the first time. You
can walk through the charming streets of the historic centre, enjoy a glass of
Bordeaux wine on a cafe terrace and feel the atmosphere of one of France’s most beautiful cities.

Day 2

The charm of Old Bordeaux

Breakfast at the hotel.

The charm of Old Bordeaux.

A walking tour of the historic city centre.

The city’s history spans over 2,000 years and is fascinating.

We will see:
- the majestic Place de la Bourse
- Bordeaux’s old town, with its well-preserved 12th- and 13th-century buildings.
- a walk along the banks of the Garonne - the elegant streets of the 18th century

Bordeaux is known as ‘Little Paris’, and during the walk you will experience its unique atmosphere — refined, tranquil
and very French.

After the tour, you’ll have free time for lunch, which you can book at any of the city’s cafes or restaurants, or we can organise a picnic in a park clearing, as many French people do on a warm, sunny day.

Day 3

Trip along the Garonne River and DARWIN district

Breakfast at the hotel.

Today we’ll take a boat trip along the Garonne River.

Afterwards, we’ll explore the right bank of Bordeaux and visit the DARWIN district, a modern arts hub and a favourite hangout for locals.

Lunch can be enjoyed either in a cafe or restaurant on the riverbank with a view of the old town, or we can organise a picnic in the park, complete with a classic French spread – a baguette, three types of French cheese, goose pâte and local wine.

After lunch and a rest, we’ll visit the modern Cite du Vin museum.

This museum is so interactive and modern that even children find it fascinating.

Day 4

French gastronomy market and Brocante

We won’t be having breakfast at the hotel, as we’re off to the local morning market to sample all sorts of local delicacies.

We’ll start with a dozen oysters washed down with a glass of white wine, sample all sorts of French cheeses, and of course finish on a sweet note – caneles, a traditional Bordeaux dessert.

After visiting the food market, we’ll dive into a treasure hunt at the local flea market. It is here that you can feel the
excitement of finding your own French treasure to take home as a souvenir – not just a magnet, but a valuable item once made in France. It is precisely these kinds of things that warm the soul and delight the eye!
